It seems that what they say is true, human stupidity has no limits. There are those who lack common sense and end up doing things that not only make no sense but that result in real danger to themselves.
Recently a 15-year-old in the UK wanted to measure the length of his penis and the best way he could think of to do it was by inserting a wire into his urethra.
The adolescent’s action caused the cable to get stuck inside his penis and, given the impossibility of removing it, he had to be treated in the hospital. The young man began to bleed and asked his family to take him to see the doctor.
After initial attempts to remove the cable failed, the teenager was taken to University College Hospital in London to see if they could remove the cable and save the boy.
According to what was reported, the boy was very ashamed and up to that point he had not confessed to his parents what had happened so he asked to speak to the doctors without the presence of his mother and that was when he told them what he had done.
Doctors quickly ordered X-rays to be performed on the boy which ultimately revealed that there was a kind of knot in the USB cable inside the teenager, requiring surgeons to make an incision in the region between the genitals and the anus to pull it out.
In the end, the solution was to cut the cable.
They first pulled the coiled end through the hole, cutting it from the rest of the wire before removing the remaining pieces.
Fortunately, the boy recovered without incident and was released from the hospital the next day. However, he had to undergo a follow-up scan two weeks later and will require a follow-up in the future.
